I'd like some feedback from anyone that has used Kumho ECSTA type of tires on their Focus including the style you have (SPT,ASX,711,Supra,KH11)

The only time I've driven Kumho's is on my mom's Civic, but I don't know what model they were...driving them on dry pavement was fine, but driving them on wet pavement wasn't as impressive. They really couldn't hold on too well in snow, especially in the rear.

Go to www.tirerack.com, many people have raved about their Kumho tires except in treadwear. But since they are much less expensive then some other tires, you have to expect trade-offs. Kumho and another Korean company(?), Sumitomo are not new to making tires, just new to this country. They are not an off-brand like the garbage Futura tires Pep Boys, NTB or any other big store off-brand.
I had good results with a set of Sumitomo on an Acura Legend. Just near the end, when they (and the car) were pretty worn out, they became really greasy in the wet and snow. I suggest the Yokohama Avid H4 or V4 all-season. They are excellent tires for the money. I have Yokohama ES100's summer-only tires on my Focus. The difference is tremendous.

Thanks, I went to Tirerack and a few other sites but wanted some Focus owners opinions.

I have a set of kumho ecsta 711s on my 00 zx3. They are sized 205/50zr16. I have been very happy with these tires. Not only were they dirt cheap at around $50 a piece but they grip way better than my previous tires which were falken 512s.
