EBay Parts?

I was wondering what parts are good and what parts are bad of Ebay. I've had a bad experiance with grills, I ordered one from Ebay, it didn't fit right, the instructions were terrible, and the mounting locations sucked. So what are some parts I'm better off getting from a legit company (like stylinconcepts.con or summit raceing)? I'm thinking of getting a air intake kit from ebay, I know BlazerLT said some good about them.

I have always had good luck on E-Bay. You need to know what you want and how much your willing to spend. There are aftermarket sellers of just about everything, be careful there is a ton of garbage aftermarket stuff out there that does not fit as well as OEM or is just plain junk. I always ask the seller questions about their stuff before I bid.

I bought an el-cheapo($35)air intake off of ebay a year ago, while it is still in the truck, the welded mounting brackets have brokin off,and yes!!,on the box it said "MADE IN CHINA"botton line is you get what you pay for.Summit as well as Jegs typicaly dont pick from the bottom of the barrel when it comes to quality.THIS IS JUST MY OPINION.

Right but I don't have $200 for a AEM air intake kit.

Try to buy stuff that has a warranty or a money back guarantee. I got most of my stereo stuff from ebay and i saved alot of $$$!!! Posted in another thread: i got a keyless entry fob from ebay for $25 and it works great. The dealer would have charged alot more....

As with anything, "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR" always applies...

Don't forget the old saying "buyer beware". Make sure you check the sellers feedback history. Also check the seller's other items to see if the type of item you are buying is something the seller sells regularly. I avoid the ones that sell random things, and go with the ones that specialize in what I want. I have had several bad experiences on eBay, all of them have worked out to my advantage after a lot of threats and nasty emails though. I have avoided eBay for the last couple years, because a lot of news reports claim that it has been flooded with fraudulent sellers, who take the money and run.

Everything is good from Ebay.

Just don't buy power chips etc....

I bought a grille and it fit perfectly.

I've used Ebay for years for all different kinds of things and have never had a problem. The best advice I can give you is to do your homework! Research as much as you can, read the item descriptions and use common sense. If it sounds too good to be true then it is. Feedback is helpfull but only to a point. People with good track records will usually yield good results - and ones that offer returns on their merchandise are a plus!

Well I haven't had all bad experinces from Ebay. The cleat corners I got were perfect. I also got a GoRavin Z-55 muffler for $30. Here's ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33645&item=7968570729&rd=1) the same grill I got from Ebay. The problem is those mounting holes on the far left and right require a L-shpaed braket. Thus you have exposed screws.
