just wanted to know the final verdict from the experts. is a dpfi on an automatic hatch(90') even worth tuning with. since the dpfi is a fuel-economy, would intake, exhaust, headers do anything to gain power or would it just be a waste. is it possible to do a dpfi to mpfi on an automatic. keepin' in mind that i dont want to do an engine swap. would really appreciate any feedback.

doesn't matter if itz an auto or not...u can do mpfi on ur car and would suggest doing that 1st b4 anything else
header(no "s"), exhaust, intake would net u about 5-10bhp...is it worth it...IMO no unless you have a plan for your car...if u have a plan then u can buy the correct parts w/o wasting $$$
if ur keeping ur car stock and just want to do those 3 things...still wouldn't caonsider it...but i would suggest you going ahead and getting MPFI

alright, sorry about the header(s), thanks for the info, keep on comin'. what i want to do w/ my car is keep it stock, keep it auto, but with a lil more power under the hood, just a nice lookin car overall.

Change your muffler/exhaust to a performance one....150$
that's about all i can think...

i have a manual dx sedan... I would ditch the auto for a stick. Auto with mpfi is still slow.

well i have a 90 dx mpfi ..im doin a mini me swap this weekend..if ur into cars enough ,...or get into them u can too its not ...to to hard if u know a bitta' wut ur doin...a mini me swap is taking off ur stock dpfi, manifold, head an wut not and taking the same parts out of a like ,im taking from a 93 civic its a vtec head an im getting 4-2-1 headers also the mpfi and ecu ,the harness to but u can just use ur old one but, u have to modify it but ya im puttin that into pretty much the same car u have mines just manual but u can still do this..werk wit wut u got man! my dx right now has liek 93 or 95bhp an at the end of the swap this weekend i'll be sport a nice 135bhp about lol damb straight ..so u have options buddy just keep on lookin an find wut fits u an wut u think u can do ..trust me just get into the whole mecanics of it then get doin some stuff to ur civic ..let us no wut ur doin!

dido! 5spd conversion would be the most worthwhile "mod" when coming from an auto!

I did the dpfi to mpfi swap and it felt nice, already had the intake and header at that point, so then a couple months down the road i did a cam change and that was nice also. All still with the si wiring harness and dx ecu. But do it up man cuz i was taking alot of cars at that point and didnt cost much in the end. But i am past that and now wipin a ZC and lovin it.

umm... how did the car run? since the DX ECU is used for running 2 injectors and MPFI uses 4.... theres no way that it'll work. so i'm gonna call BS on this

yea but it would still run like a bag of ass IMO because the fuel maps would be different from DX - SI, i just dont see any point in someone doing that because you might even lose preformance lol
