Mods For A V-6

My brother has a 96 5-speed and he has flowmaster exhaust and a K&N filter.what other mods (cheap) will give him good performance.He needs a new calatic(sp) converter,whats a good brand?Thanks:bloated:

There's hardly any bang-for-the-buck mods for a V-6 Camaro. Save up and get a V8, then you can mod until your heart's content.

In answer to your question, just start replacing stock restrictive components (exhaust, intake, rocker arms, cam, etc.). The more you do, the more differences you'll see.

hey man, check out http://www.tbyrnemotorsports.com/v6catalog.html they're a performance shop specializing in the V6 F-body. For low-cost, I recommend the cold-air intake unit w/ whisper lid, performance plugs/wires, and possibly headers. On a more high-end note, the powerdyne supercharger is a great way to go (i'm saving for one now).

he was thinking about getting the SLP cold air induction kit,is that any good?.he did want a turbo or a supercharger,but he was going to get that in about a year after he gets a R1

I have a friend that has the CAI kit on his 3800, and he dynoed it yesterday, and saw some gains out of it. It might have had a little bit more but the limiter on it kicked in right before the peak hp. If he's questioning whether it'll work, I say get it.

I ALREADY TOLD HIM ABOUT CAMAROV6.COM

I've heard really good things about the SLP CAI setup... if you wanna avoid hitting the limiter like BlkCamaroSS said, go to www.suncoastcreations.com because they have a little computer thing that'll remove or change the limiters.
