96 Taurus Locks and Windows

I've got a 96 Ford Taurus that suddenly the power locks and power windows stopped working altogether! Fortunately the windows were all up at the time, but it's a pain not to have everything working.
I've checked all the fuses in the power distribution block under the hood as well as all the fuses in the under-dash fuse panel and all are good. Nothing in the owner's manual seems to indicate that the locks and windows share a common circuit, but it remains that neither of them work.
It's not likely a switch as all windows and both lock switches are dead. Any ideas what I can check next?

I'd say you need to find a wiring diagram. You might think about investing in a Haynes book for $15, which will have the wiring diagrams, or you may be able to find them online if you're lucky. Then start eliminating things that the locks and windows don't share and start doing some testing.

Make an enlarged copy of the wiring diagram, this will make it easier to trace and mark off circuits.
Physically check the wiring in the door jambs. Years of opening and closing the doors may have caused some fatigue. Check the grounds.
