Smoking problem

I noticed this yesterday but didn't think anything of it since it happened only once...Until today. Also i noticed that for a long time now, my exhaust smells horrible. Doesn't smell normal. I replaced the cat a while back with a 'high-flow e-bay cat' which is basically a straight pipe lol. Anyway, when i hit boost my car starts to smoke pretty bad, and the weather here has been around 65 - 70F. I had a turbo blow up on me once and it smoked much, much worse than it is now...Do you think my turbo could be going bad or what?
EDIT >> I figured i'd post this in the same thread instead of making a new thread for it...A little bit ago when i went to start my car, my battery was dead. So i push-started it, runs fine until i flick on my headlights, then my stereo turns off. Same with the turn signals. If i stop and turn it off, won't start again. I think it's probably a bad alternator, but i wanna be sure before i shell out $130 for a new one. The battery is only 5 months old and it has to be drained if the alternator is bad and won't start. When i tried jump starting it with my dad's truck, it wouldn't come close to turning over. So i dunno if the battery is completely gone too or what.

take your alternator in and have it fixed, it should only cost half the price of buying a new one.

like a bluish white color...and at idle like a dirty/brownish smoke...after a min or two at idle it was gone though

white could be a head gasket, or the turbo seals could be going bad mine smoked a litle bit because of the seals... to check your alternator take the negitave terimal off the battery while the car is running if the car dies then you need a new alternator, if it still runs then its fine, sounds like the alternator to me.

rebuilding a alternator isnt that hard try it if you have a spare one thats liying around. Good old shop class I love high school all problems I can fix there for free, he he he. But if you dont feel like rebuilding it of fixing it you can send it to me and ill fix it for free.

Blue could also be your valve seals if its not your turbo. Make sure your compression results are okay then you can eliminate the piston rings.
