Is it the ECS~electronicly controlled suspension that you are talking about? If it is, then there should be a little botton on the dash that says ECS which is used to switch the suspension between a soft tour mode to a stiffer and more responsive sport mode. The ECS control is integrated to G-sensors, steering angulation velocity sensor and throttle sensors, and when the car is changed between the two settings, a computer automatically adapts the suspension. If I remember correctly, it is somewhere between the steering wheel and temp. gauge.

Its kinda behind the right side of the steering wheel, little round button, should be right next to the ignition.

Yea, when its on a tiny green "sport" light will come on on the left of the gauge cluster.

Woah it's connected to all that? No way, where'd you find that information? I want to read up on that, I thought it was just connected to the adjustable shocks.

There are g sensors in the car under the drivers seat and somewhere else. ECS will stiffen the shocks, but it will also stiffen them more, on demand, to ballance out body roll or squating on launch, or diving when braking.

I got the info here:
http://cjbyron.com/3000gtspecifications.htm
I'm pretty sure it is reliable, but I could be wrong.

ok but on my friends car there is a constantly blinking "sport" light what does that mean?
and if you can adjust the suspension manualy where do you do that?
this discusion raises one funny thought in my mind.... is ecs is the susspension than why does it happen every time i push the cruise controll button a "ecs" light turns on in the dash?

You are looking at 2 different lights... ECS on the dash is "electronic speed control" which lights up when you turn the cruise control on. The "electronically controlled Suspension" is just the "sport" and "tour" lights on the dash board and the button on your right.
I believe the blinking "sport" light indecates something wrong with the "electronically controlled suspension" which happens because you are right... That is a lot of sensors it ties into.

normally what goes bad on the ECS are the boots that cover the front shocks, When working the engine bay many people lean against them and in turn break the wires in them.

i know something is wrong with the supsension because if i stand on the side of the car with the door open and try to wag the car by trying to bounce myself and the car does not move an inch its almost as if there is no suspension at all:)

Sory to hijack but I have a susspension related question and I hate makeing threads just for a stupid little question. How much should a lowering spring install cost?

I would estimate 2-4 hundred. They need to dissasemble each of your shocks in order to install them.

You could always unplug the ECS system so it doesn't blink annoyingly. The box is in the trunk on the passenger side. I could send a link if you want it.

I wonder if there are G-sensors in the base and SL models or just the VR-4. I've always though I got a better launch in sport than tour, but didn't think any further into it.

Does nebody have a site with features available for stealths in certain years? The one i'm highly looking at the owner says it has the tuneable exhaust and adjustable suspension i though those featrues didn't go over to the steatlth RT/TT i know the active aero didn't. Thanks
