I have a 93 Jetta 2.0 that has a low computer ground fault. The closest VW dealer says to replace the distributor. Does this seem OK? It is never the computer. It send a signal to one injector all the time and nothing to the others.
Thanks

I don't see what the distributor would have to do with three injectors not getting signal. Are you getting a spark from the coil? Check resistance to ground on the ECM grounds - pins 1, 33, 55, 56, & 58.

Spark is there it fires once maybe. I will check the grounds. Theythe VW dealer says the computer low ground can/is normally caused by the grounding through the distributor. With the low ground the computer does not see the return signal.

There are three pins on the distributor harness, brown/yellow is ground all the time, black/red is 12V+ with the key in on position and white/red is a ground signal from the Hall sensor back to the ECM. If the coil puts out a steady spark then I don't see a problem with the distributor. I'm not familiar with their term of low ground, the ECM gets it's grounds from the above stated pin connections. It sounds like you have spark & the problem is in the fuel delivery, have you tried jumpering the fuel pump relay so it runs all the time. You might want to check the fuel pressure also.

It gets good siganl but only to 1 injector. The fuel pressure is good on the rail the 1 cyclinder floods. The real code is weak computor ground.

Do you have the code number? You can retrieve it yourself if needed.

No I don't it is not running at all so do they mean anything? Also What does the letter on the end of the ecm mean the one on the car is an e one on ebay is f?

The letter(s) at the end of the VW part # is a revision level. Without doing further research it's hard to say but the F version should work in place of an E.
