Speakers problem

You've prbably read about an 89 Camaro that I keep asking help for. This is because the car was in a major collision on the highway, damaging the whole front end. Luckily it didnt do much to the engine, although the radiator was destroyed. Well that has been a few years and it has been fixed back to stock condition (except for a primier colored font end and the rest blue... at least it still has the color code # on it.).

Anyway, whenever you hit a bump or steer the speakers shift. Example: Turn left, right speakers go on and off and left speakers do not work. I am guessing that the speakers were damaged in the wreck. I know where I could get new speakers, so no problem there, but I wanted to make sure it is the speakers. I've checked the connections at the radio and they are fine. It surprises me that the radio made it through the wreck because the mounting chassis was broke :confused:.

Check the connections at the speakers and check for any shorts in the wires, sounds like they are getting pinched when the frame flexes from the corners.

mount chasis broke = radio bounced around inthe wreck = wires probably frayed cut 99% or barely hanging on to connection, thats my opinion. Pop it out and secure the wires on the back, pop out the speakers check those, if it still happens its between them

Well it appears that the guy that installed the radio just taped the connections, instead of wire caps. This will be repaired when a new radio is installed, which will be installed by me. Speakers are fine and connections at speakers.

EDIT: I got a chance to test the radio and the front right speaker is dead. This is where the car was hit (mainly front right fender, front end area.)

If anyone could recommend a cheap, CD Player radio that will fit into the stock hole (about 4 in high) that would be great, And yes I understand that a CD player radio will only be about 2 inches high, so a recommended adapter would be great too. I dont have much money to spend. P.S. - Needs AM/FM tuner too

Pioneer for 99 bucks. Good price. Also if you are going to replace the right speaker, mine as well do them all.
