Alarm Going off
04-13-2005, 01:06 PM
I have an 2001 Audi A4 1.8T and the darn alarm keeps going off on it. I have no idea what's causing it. I tried shutting all the doors again and I even left the doors unlocked, yet it still goes off. Any ideas?
Thank you,
Jeremy

I have the same vehicle and have the same problem. It seems to be related to heat (outside temp - I live in Florida). The times I know it has gone off was when it was bright and sunny so the car was hot inside. Keep us informed if you come up with anything. I sure would like to stop this from happening. One day I am going to come out from working all day and the battery will be dead.

you need to bring the car into a dealer and they can check via measuring blocks what source triggered the alarm..in some instance the interior monitoring can trigger the alarm and the sensitivity can be lowered through the dealer hope this helps

i unno if you guys leave your windows craked open but that will set alarm off, as well keep in mind you have a motion sensor in the car so if that is not off and a window is open it will go off happens to me al the time because my parking permit
