Mad Cow disease coverup in the U.S.?

I will agree the government shouldn't cover diseases up, but in the case of mad cow disease I dont really care. Not a single american citizen died during the mad cow scare, most americans dont even eat the part of the cow which can get them infected.

Isnt Canadas population around 30 million people....that means there is a cow for every 2 people, maybe I am the only person who finds this kind of funny but yeah...
