Okay, which car do you take...considering these factors...
1)Price. You have money, but you gotta buy the thing. Money is a factor.
2)Performance...duh.
3)Looks. Which would you rather drool over?

Italdesign/Lamborghini Cala
http://www.rapidcars.com/images/calamain.jpg
Top Speed 181 mph
0-60 (mph) 5 sec
400 Horsepower @ 7200 rpm
40-valve V10
Weight 2844 lbs
or....
The Diablo ('99 VT)
http://www.rapidcars.com/newlamb.jpg
Top Speed: 208 MPH
0-60 4.0 seconds
523 Horsepower @ 7100 rpm
48-valve V12
Weight 3583 lbs
I take the Cala. Yeah, it doesn't have the performance that the Diablo offers, but it's still got plenty. I like the look of it, and being so much lighter I bet it would be pretty nimble. The Cala also had a 6-speed, whereas the Diablo only has a 5.

Lambo hands down... :D
Cala doesn't have enough power, and it looks kinda fruity :)
the roof curve thing especially..... remind them- they're not making a prom queen here...

The Diablo VT is also AWD.
You don't like the looks of the Cala? I think it's awesome! I think I've gotten tired of the Diablo's style. Maybe my choice will change when the Canto comes out.
I think if the Cala made it to production it would have better performance numbers. I'd think they'd tweak it a little more to get more interest in it.

Diablo. The Cala looks too much like a new Celica(or should that be the other way around) and that wing ruins the lines of the car, looks like a tacky add on.

I like the wing. I think the headlights are reminiscent of a Celica, but then they're reminiscent of a Fioravanti or a Ford Focus in some ways too.
I can hear you about the spoiler, but I've seen pics with different setups that didn't look so obtrusive. But, I don't think it looks bad or even out of place. With aggressive styling of the rest of the car, an aggressive spoiler fits (the opposite applies with Combat wings on a Civic:D).

Italdesign/Lamborghini Cala I like the looks of it. It is not faster but you can always mod it.

Diablo all the way, I thought it had 492 hp, Oh well. A V12 is enough for me :)

I'd take the Diablo over the other thing. and enzo, if you don't like the looks of that diablo i would check out the redesigned for 2001 diablo, it looks soo much better. i don't know how, but it makes the old diablo design almost look ugly.

It's fairly simple, there is no choice to be made,
the Cala remains a prototype, not for sale and certainly not going into production in the future, also note the Diablo will only remain in production in the MY2001 edition, no more Roadster the first three years to come.
So it's easy to pick one of them, go for the Diablo or wait for the L147 to be presented in September, by the way, the Canto name has been droppen months ago, a new name will be used for the latest supercar from Sant'Agata
Kind regards
Mark

I would choose the Diablo first. Although it is striking in appearance it does not have an extreme look to it.
No 2 would be the Miura. I am not that famiar with this model but from the pictures and it's history it's a standout and deserves a mention.
My first Lamborghini was the Countach..in fact I thought it was the only Lamborghini made...duh...that's what owning station wagons and raising a couple of kids will do for you.
........
I just wish there more books published about the Diablo model and it's development.

The Miura is definitively the best looking Lamborghini if you want my opinion, but you'll have to remember this was a car from the Sixties, finding one now will take a lot of time and money, driving and maintaining it afterwards takes even more money.
As for the Diablo, well it's ending it's carreer ask we speak, it will remain in production after the new L147 is introduced, but I think it will be halted later this year or somewhere next year.
If you would like to have a book explaining the ins and outs of the Diablo, wait a little longer, I'm writing a book on Lamborghini Cars, and the Diablo will take a major chapter in it.
To keep updated on the progress, keep an eye on my website at
