Steering Lock

My 2003 Sonata steering wheel does not lock when turning the ignition switch to the lock position. Anybody ever have this or any ideas on what is the problem might be?

At times the lock pin in the column will become stuck.If you can use a spray lube with a tube supplied with the can ,try spraying into the column just below the steering wheel. Be careful not to spray too much into the column.Sometimes this will help the pin release. If this doesn.t work the steering whell will have to come off.
