removing bent valve from head

I'm trying to swap the valves from the old cylender head on that 92 achieva and the new head has a bent valve from when the timing chain must have broken and a piston came up and smacked the valve or whatever. I got the rest of the valves out without any problems, but even using a c-clamp style valve spring compressor, i cant get the spring to compress because the valve is bent so badly, and the only way i can figure out how to get it out is by maybe cutting the valve stem, but i am wondering if any of you guys might have some better solutions that wouldnt involve the risk of having the valve spring flying off from being under so much pressure once i cut thru the valve stem, and in turn possibly hitting me or someone else nearby. please let me know asap, thnx.

what if I have already unknowingly damaged the valve guides/seals? are they replacable? if so, what kind of cost am i probably looking at?

Compress the spring slightly to allow the clamp to hold the majority of the pressure instead of the spring. Then if you can gain access to the valve stem cutting it won't allow the spring to decompress.

If the stem is already bent enough to cause these problems, I would get all new guides/seals/etc for that valve.
