Engine Rebuild ?'s 90' talon tsi

I bought a 90 talon tsi, it needs new pistons and rings so i need to pretty much rebuild. This is the first 4 cyl. i've owned and don't know much about them. What would be the best way to go $ wise and for performance? Anyone know of a good place to get a rebuild kit?

top line offers a rebuild kit for around $299. they'll do fine if you just want stock performance for cheap. i've heard of people in the 350whp range with the kit on Dsmtuner. of course you'll have to make sure the cylinder walls are ready for replacement pistons and wont need reconditioning

plenty of places sell performance rebuild kits for the 4g63. just depends on how much $ you want to spend. read the "**faq** read before asking question" sticky on the top of eclipse/talon/lazer for trusted venders.
