I think i blew out my passenger side door speaker. I want to buy one on ebay dont want to spend alot something that will be equal to the stock one.. what should i look for size ect.. Installing it is it easy do i really have to run the wire all the way threw....

PS, I got the estimate for my car rust on the buttom door passenger from thte front of my car to the back on the bottom $400 painted and new brackets for my door. Think thats a good deal? thanks

gm runs their window guide directly behind the speaker inside the door panel meaning the depth of the speaker from the mounting screw to the window guide is minimal. You won't be able to fit any 6.5 speaker in the stock mount. Its gotta be less then like 2.5 " i'm not sure the exact depth 2.5 is a guess it might be 2 might be 3. some speakers have like 4 inch depth and the only way to make them fit is a special mount and cutting your door panel apart.

If you go through crutchfield you can pick speakers that will your vehicle directly. They send extra mounts but you would need to drill out the stock rivits so i just mounted mine to the stock bracket with some new holes. Took all of about 5 min if that. also comes with stock wire adaptor so no cutting of any wires just plug and play.

good luck

i got the Infinity Reference 6002si they sound real good, better then stock but not the best. very clear sound but the bass is ahhh ok. i'm gonna put a box in the back so i didn't need the doors to thump.

here is the crutchfield site with the speakers that fit my 2 door you can do a search for yours and take your pick of which ones you want.
