defrost problem any ideas???

i have a 96 monte carlo, 3.1 liter engine. and after closer observation i noticed it doesnt have a relay for that. i checked the fuse and its good. i was just wandering if any of you guys had any ideas on what it could be?? thanks in advance for the help.

i found that one of my contacts on the back winshield was loose but looking at it, it just didnt seem so. but touching it i realized it was. i soldered it back on and i hope that i didnt mess anything up with heat applied. ill know in the morning. i will post to let you guys know how it turned out. thanks for at least viewing my ? take care
