Radio Help

I recently installed a few engine mods to my 2000 CIVIC EX and the check engine light came on. Without thinking to took off the battery for get rid of the light which was good because the light turned off but it also reset my RADIO! I bought the car used from the dealer so they dont have the card with the 5 digit combo and either do I.

I called honda and they said i needed the serial number on the back of the radio. I need some help on this one though. Can anyone give me an explination on how to get the radio out or even a diagram?

Also before that is there another way to get the serial number without taking the whole thing out? OR is there a universal code that corresponds with your VIN?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks ahead of time.

check the glove box first and see if there is a white label inside of it with some numbers and letters on it. Thats were we put the serial number for the cars when we prep them before they are sold.

not to sure about stock decks but after market ones just get 2 thin flat head screwdrivers and put on both sides in between the sleeve and pull it out. Of course in my experience ive never seen a honda with stock deck or stock air box on it = ]

Thx all this thread is done I pulled the radio, pretty easily which was nice, and i got my radio code.
