air bag warning light

Hello,
I have a 98 venture. My airbag warning light does not go out. Are there any basic steps I can do to locate the problem?

This helped me to resolve the problem:
Check wires under the passenger seat (front), they get disconnected easily which effects in turning on the airbag warning light.

Likewise, check the driver's seat. Things have a dendency to roll under it more then the passenger's seat in my van. The connectors are yellow IIRC with a plastic "pin" that helps keep them locked together.

Wow....just came in to tell hubby that I had to take my Venture in because that same light was on...read this and "voila" ...all fixed!
