There's this kid that is a friend of my friends little brother. He drives a corolla, and always talks how it's fast and he drifts it and stuff. Well he came to a BBQ we were having, and he followed me home to help me put my grill away. (BTW, I have a 4x4 Nissan Frontier 4 cylinder, with 31" tires, it is ass slow) But any ways, we dropped off the grill, and left. I pulled up next to him in my truck and threw a rev for sh*ts and giggles, so he down shifts, I do also. I floor it and go, he does too. By the top of 1st I had 1 car, by 2nd I had about 3 and in 3rd I was like should I let him catch up or keep pulling, so I kept pulling. Anyways, I just wanted to prove my point that Corollas are slow and people really shouldn't try fixing them up. Honestly, I would be supprised if my truck got 18's.

Actually it is a rwd like '87 automatic corolla coupe with the carb'd 4A engine. The kid has convinced himself that his car is just like the one in Initial D, and even calls it a trueno.

4A-carb engine is shit, the 4AGE 100kW engine was in the AE86 shell. even that engine is not-so-quick

"Sliding your car through a set of opposed and grouped turns without having rear wheel traction as your car moves laterally through the turns."

The clutching technique. When approaching a turn the driver will push in the clutch and shift his car into second gear. Then rev the engine up to around 4000-5000 rpm (it all depends all the model of the car being used) and then slightly turn away from the turn and then cut back towards it hard while at the same time popping the clutch and causing the rear wheels to spin. At this point the drifter has a loss of traction and is beginning to slide around the curve. Now comes the hard part. You have to hold the drift until the next turn. To do this you must keep your foot on the accelerator while at the same time adjusting your car with the steering wheel so you don't spin out. It's not as easy as it sounds. Then as the drifter reaches the end of the turn and approaches the next turn which is in the opposite direction he must cut the wheel in that direction and in some cases, if the previous drift was to slow and they start to regain traction, they must pop the clutch again to get the wheels spinning. And that is how you drift a rear wheel drive car.

Damn cyber, why even bother posting this. We all know that "matrix" isn't the smartest kid and talks a lot of crap. Regardless of how many times he asks us what we can do to his car and we tell him to get a new car and forget the corrolla, he will ask us again 2 days later what we can do to his car. And haven't you heard?? As if it weren't bad enough losing to a slow @$$ truck, he's had people beat him on foot! Earnest got about 10-15 feet in front of him before his car finally caught up.

Dont sleep on all Corollas. Especially AE86's cause you might find one with the 4agez engine and those arnt anything to sneeze at...Oh ESPECIALLY dont sleep on older corollas LIKE mine....but you can sleep on mine cause its stock :( , but not for long...I hope.
