94 Starting Problem

94 S-10 Blazer, Starting to have a problem starting, must push the gas pedal to floor to start.
Changed all plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Problem still there.

4.3 engine.

Any Ideals?

Probably leaking CPI unit... Pull your upper plenum and look for washing.

Had the CPI replaced twice about a year ago. The frist one installed went bad within two weeks.
Usually you smell fuel when leaking correct?

Not necessarily... Pull the plenum and check for washing. Did you have the nut kit replaced? But I forgot to say, before pulling the plenum, run a pressure tester at the shrader valve...Your fuel pump could be going out..

Had the fuel pump etc. replace about a month ago. Just checked pressure at start up 65 psi than drops off to 52 - 55 psi. running..
