Big Brakes

Anyone ever done a big brake conversion within 15" wheels?

I've gone through spec books from 1975 through 2005 and have a couple rotor candidates with the right offset and diameter. But it would be easier to learn from what others have done.

What about changing from rear drums to disks?

I'm looking into the same thing, bigger brakes up front and maybe discs in the back. Have you come across any possible options for either? Or anyone else who has done it.

I have not run across anything for the front. The problem is that the wheel lug spacing and brake bolt spacing are both oddballs. I went through two parts catalogs for every car and truck since 1973 looking for matches.

I decided it would be just as cheap to go with a Wilwood setup in the front and adapt it myself. That's a future project though.

For now I'm just using good quality race pads all the way around. This is for a race truck.
