There should be a label, usually in the driver door jamb with tire pressure recommendations. The information is for standard tires as delivered from the factory. If you have non standard tires the tire shop should have provided tire pressure recommendations. FWIW, I use 33-34 psi in the 205/75/15 tires on my 04 2 wheel drive Xtracab truck. Factory suggest 29 psi. The added pressure does make the ride a little worse but the steering is more responsive with the increased pressure. In any case do not exceed the maximum inflation pressure stamped on the tire.

It's almost like, what's your preference? I use a little less air in the rear because it's lighter. It also depends on how strong your tires are, loads and factors like what type of driving. If you air up your tires and they look perfectly round, they have too much air, they should have a slight flat spot on the bottom....smoother ride and better contact patch.
