I believe I can help. I was in this same situation you are in. I wanted white letter tires but stock size 245/50/R16 would not carry them in that size mainly because a 50 series tire would be weaken too much because of the letters raised in the side. 70 series tires usually go big cars like a caprice. In all they might fit if you have a 14 size rim at the most anything over that would not fit and if it did it would make the car sit higher and look very odd not to mention you probably wouldn't be able to turn. If you really want white letter tires spend 800 on some nascar tires

my question is how can a major tire complany like bf goodrich make a 50 series and have them not be stable. these will be going on none other than a 15" rim true muscle car styling. they have an overall diamter of 29.9 inches. im afraid of them hittin on the front part of the fender. they shouldnt sit too much higher than the tire i had which was a 235/60/r15 im putting a 235/60/r15 on the front. the guy from summit said the 235 is as high as that 275. do u think wheel spacers are ok to use, and whats involved like longer studs? that front part of the inner fender cuts in awfully close.
