Chevrolet Lumina APV 1996 : I have experience an intermittent problem.
3 things happen at the same time,. First problem, taking off with the transmission in drive position the engine revolution was unstable than the transmission stayed in first gear and at the same time notice that I lost power from the alternator. I suspect these may be related to a commend use can anyone help.

Thanks,

Niq

if the alternator isn't working properly then it could cause your problems especially on a GM product.

Yep. You've got a solenoid activated tranny, they wont shift right (or shift at all) if the voltage is too low. Some will just go to second gear and stay there, if the problem is real bad.
