Power Steering occasionally quits working

I have a 95 PGT 5 speed. About 2 weeks ago, after a brisk run up through the gears, I realized the power steering had quit working. I pulled into a parking lot and was wondering what to do when I heard a little clunk and the power steering was back. Thought no more of it till yesterday. I had to pull out into traffic quickly and again lost power steering. This time I turned the car off and immediatly restarted it and again the steering was back. Anyone had any similar experience. The PS resivour is full and otherwise the steering is fine.
Thanks
Thanks

if it working fine now there isn't a problem, maybe you just got somthing wet or your computer had a slight glitch and when you restarted it it just fixed it.

refill your power steering fluid ?lol could also be a pressure leak in a hose or something.. it happens on dodge stealth when the Y pips gets loose or breaks off,, you loose power steering and stuff

Thanks Sinteck, I will check for leaks but I don't think there is any.
Somebody suggested that there is probably a problem in the steering rack. I think I will try flushing the entire thing and start with new fluid.

Check your fuses first.

I have something similar going on, when I'm trying to turn the wheel going slow or at a stop (I deliver newspapers, so I do U turns quite often) it feels like there is no power steering. But once I speed up, it works fine. And it doesn't do this every time I stop, just some of the time. My only thought was that there is a clog in the system somewhere, the pump doesn't make any noise and it has plenty of fluid. How hard is it to flush the power steering system, or does it have to be done at a shop?
