99 f-150 tranny probs

I have a 99 f-150 4.2 eng. When I put it in drive and press the gas it revs up then a few secs later it clunks into gear. Reverse is fine and it shifts through the geras fine but has delayed shift into 1st.

sounds like the forward clutch is going south or the 1-2 accumulator is bypassing. when it shifts to second are the shifts delayed and harsh
