I drove to work today parked and decided to go out for lunch when I tried to start the car it had NO POWER at all. NO enterior lights, no power door locks no power on the windows NOTHING. My friend gave me a "jump" let it juiced up for 5min. We disconnected the cables while my car was on. Then I decided to shut my car off then switch it on but, NOTHING, it was dead again. I poured a can of Coke on the battery connections and tried to start it but it didnt, HOWEVER this time the enterior lights and windows did work.
Whats wrong with my bird???? Please help me.

I just bought the battery last October. D'you think it could be my alternator? or dirty battery connectors?

Does the battery cables have a lot of corosion on them? If yes have it removed with a wire brush. If you suspect the altinator have your buddy jump it and take it to a auto parts store and they'll test it. DONT shut it off. You might not get it stated. Plus a battery can die at any time even if you just bought it not long ago. Good Luck

If your car will stay running with the battery disconnected, the alternator is still charging. If it dies when you disconnect that battery, the alternator is not charging. That's the rule of thumb.

DON`T EVER remove a battery clamp with the engine running on a computerized car, UNLESS you want to buy a new computer! it`s not worth the risk.
this is why auto parts stores check your charging systems for FREE.
