454 headers

ok here's my dilema
i have a 454 with rusted out hooker headers on my 1978 chevy truck and was thinking of making my own fenderwell headers using the old flange on the hooker headers
the tube i will be using is 2"OD .090 wall schedual 40
i have a tube bender to make them all up but is using the schedual 40 ok?
will i have to go to DOM or somethign else?
anyone else ever tried using this tube before and has it survived?
