my door handle finally broke.

i'm not asking questions so dead those "use the search" comments before they even begin.

i just wanted to vent at the crappines which is mitsubishi door handles.

i'm trying to get ahold of that guy from dsmtuners with the aluminum handles.
i'm not planning on entering my car from the passenger side for very long and i don't plan on ever doing it again. so i'm going with a metal handle from now on. i hope.

apparently this is a widespread crapfest much like the squeeling when you start your dsm. which mine seems to be doing every single time i turn that bitch on.
damn you mitsubishi, damn you.
but i still love my car.

i got a response yesterday. he said they're in production right now and that they should be ready within 2 weeks.
$60 shipped, + $5 if you want them clear coated.

what is clear coater ?

it's like a clear layer of paint so they don't rust and shit. it makes them really shiny.

too bad for me a bolt was rusted shut and snapped off when i tried to remove the handle.
i can't reuse the backing plate so it looks like a no go for me on these aluminum ones.
oh well.
i got a temporary replacement handle from ebay and painted it silver to match. doesn't look too bad.
now i need to find a factory replacement and install those metal inserts to prevent future breaks.
