Um Of Course The Hatch Is Lighter Than An Integra. Thats Why You Would Win.
Oh And One Question, Why The Hell Do You Capitalize Every Word It is Very Friggen Annoying. And Kind Of Difficult To Keep Up.
Try typing normal it's much quicker and easier, and it makes your post easier for us to read.

I think there is a second butterfly valve that opens when you hit a certain rmp with the GSR engines. Supposed to help with lowend toque and fuel economy. I'm not completely sure, but I think that's what he's talking about.

Guy's, sometimes when you type in caps it will make every word do this. My Mom Went To The Store. I really don't think anyone would type like (That).
And o yeah, lets take your civic that as a motor rated at about 170hp and you car being ruffly about 400lbs lighter, his type-R is rated at 190hp. The wight makes up for the hp.

I don't know what type of keyboard you have but on mine and every other one i've ever seen caps lock makes every letter caps not just the first letter of each word.

So in keeping this secondary butterfly open would you gain or lose power form this?

I'm guessing that you would loose some lowend torque, and gain some high hp... It would probably help you if you are dragging it and are always in vtec. Normal driving would suck, because you would loose torque. Please lemme know if I'm wrong, but that's what I think is happening.

ok well my my buddy put type r pistons and hondata in his gsr and thhe guy that installed it for him put a 92-95 ecu in. But its tuned and chipped for the hondata. But the 92-95 ecu wont control the butterflies. But the guy said that its tuned to keep the butterflies opened.....any inputs on this.

nice kill..the type r isn't really set-up too well for straight line racing. still nice to have the bragging rights eh?
sounds like you're on the right track w/ your mods, i might suggest a turbo w/ that over-sized exhaust eh?

why the heck you guy arguin about my typin?? lol its fixed now and it was my keyboard ha ha ha and guys its not a hatch its a sedan (4door) but ya when you tie open the butterly you do not loose low end trq but it helps your rpm climb faster when your floorin it from what ive experienced and have bin told. but as long as im leavin typies am alllllllll game ha ha ha. oh ya i also installed a high presure oil line that runs from the block to the head. since i've put that on when v-tec engages i really feel it pull. yeeeeeeeee haaaaaaaaaaa!
what typa of turbo kit would run well with the configuration i have???

yeah i realized that after i posted it but was too lazy to change it. sorry bout that i don't know where i got that in my head.
anyway as far as it being fast... i believe it. i'v eseen civics really boogie with just a B18A/b so with a B18c it should really move.
I used to have a buddy with a 95 2-door civic with a B18c swap, had some kind of shift kit in his auto tranny, I/H/E, and some suspension mods. He may have also had a new ecu and some adjustable cam gears and stuff but i can't remember. It was awhile ago but i'm almost positive I remember him running somethign like a 14.4 regularly at E-town. So yeah B18c is a nice swap for a civic.
