98 JXI 6-CD changer adapter

I have a 98 Sebring Conv. JXI V6 and I want to replace the radio.
I want to keep the 6-CD changer (model #82202700).
I can not find a head unit that is compatible with this 6-CD changer.
Is there an adapter of some sort? Can anyone provide me with any information?

I contacted Crutchfield and they said that I can only use the factory speakers with that CD changer. Is this true?
