'89 Ford tempo lights wont work

:banghead: I have a 1989n ford tempo five speed. All of the sudden the lights just wont turn on!!!!! the fuses are fine. all of the running lights work just not the head lamps. :disappoin it cant be just the bulbs because whe i hit the flash to pass button the lights flash. the high beams dont even work Pulllleeeeze help!!!

Sounds like what I had going on in my dimmer switch on an 88 Tempo I sold back in February. You probably have a short in your dimmer switch in the column. It's a big pain in the rear to fix but can be done. You'll be better off finding one in a junk yard than getting a new one at a parts house, as simple things like this tend to cost an arm & a leg when they shouldn't.
