I know its no big deal, and noone on here probably cares, but i'm excited. I turn 16 on the 24th of this month (April), I only missed 4 on the test but at least I finally got around to getting it.

Anyways, just thought I would share the news. :icon16:

Nice man! Now go out and do some driving! Whats the rules on your permit? Mine were that I had to have it for a year, with like 60 hrs of day driving and like 20 hrs of night.

Thanks.

Not sure what day/night hours I have to have, but I only have to have my permit for 6 months before I am eligible for my REAL license. Lucky me I guess.

EDIT: Just dug through my wallet and found my 'Learner Permit GDL REstrictions' card. Says I need at least 50 hours behind the wheel, including 10 at night. So 40 hours day time, 10 at night, not so bad. :iceslolan

i think mine (PA) it was like 50 hours total driving, 6 months and they expected you to keep a log book of the 50 hours lol. the driving test for the license was easy as shit...pull around, parallel park, go up the road, make a few turns and come back. passed without a problem. congrats on getting your permit.

when i got mine (Florida) they just take ur word for it that u drove the hours and for the road test was easy just make sure u dont jerk there head when u brake and dont do rolling stops at stop signs (slow down slow enough to be stopped but not fully stopped then go on)

shiiit....i would be driving for over a year at 16. ya gotta love north dakota rules, 14 to get a permit and 6 months later you can get your license, not matter how much you've driven.

Smic, Your with me, I got my permit, although I waited like 6-7 months before my road test. Failed the first time because some a$$hole comes flying up and almost hits me. Anyway, this was two years ago. Then, you could get your lisence the next day if you wanted to. Junior lisence though. (no driving after 9, only one passenger). Now you have to wait 6 months to get your lisence, which I did anyway, but now it's required. If you wanted to get it earlier, you get a limited juniors lisence, which means to and from school/work. If you take drivers ed, you get your senior lisence at 17. If you don't, then 18. No restictions then.

Congrats BTW

I did the home school driver's ed, so my parents had me do very minimal driving with them (maybe 4-5 hours tops), then just signed off the part where I'm supposed to drive with an instructor to get the actual license, so I didn't even have to do that. :D

Been driving about half a year now.

CA: 15 yrs permit, 16 yrs restricted lisence (with drivers ed), 18 yrs no restrictions. Have to pass a written test, missing no more than 7 questions for both the permit and lisence. Driving test with lisence, score 70 or above. 50 hours mandatory wheel time before driving test, not checked.

I didn't do so hot. Missed 7 q's on my permit, 6 on my lisence, and had one demerit on my driving test for not stopping close enough to the limit lines. Most of it is pretty easy. The guy didn't make me parallel, either.

Had an ex who failed her driver's test four times

When I first started driving, I sucked really bad. In a four acre, vacant parking lot, I still almost hit a light pole head-on. "I thought I was in reverse" :)

Congrats!

congrats, And to those who said the pa test was easy. Damn you. I failed the first time on parallel parking. but to my defense the lady used a ruler to see how far I was away from my front tire to the curb. I have pictures cause I thought it was rediculous.

Other then that I pass the second time through no problem.
