SunRoof Switch is Dead

Hey Forumheads...
'93 525 Wagon with Panoramic roof....
Switch is dead. Took the cover off and "unplugged" it from the female piece which leads to the wirring. No wires cut, nothing obvious....I do think it is the switch that is done, but no visible signs.
The prob is.....the switch is $75 bucks WITH NO RETURN.
Any ideas how I can make sure that it is the switch without having an entire set of BMW diagnostic tools...LOL!!!

You DID check the fuse, right?
