Body Kit installation

Hey everyone. Well Ive been looking for a picture or anything like that showing where all the bolts and screws should be for all 4 stock bumpers. Does anyone have anything like this. I am gonna attempt to begin to install my body kit that I am picking up today, and it would really help if someone had rough pics they can post that show where all the bolts are. Thanks.

Not all kits/bumpers will just bolt up the same. Usually the holes are not predrilled for best fit. Best way is to take off the stock bumper and set it on there and make your marks witha sharpie marker, then drill.

Well mine isnt pre-drilled. Im talking about existing holes in the car that you would bolt the body kit to. Like where all of the holes are that your stock bumpers are being held on with.

When you take your stock bumper off you'll see the mounting holes in the bumper. Just measure those and drill.

Can I use any drill, like a drill I would use on wood or something? That should be fine right?

Dont use a wood padel drill bit.lol Use any common steel bit, make sure its gonna hold the bolt snug though, dont want any rattling.

wood padel drill bit? The ones I got are steel, like a regular bit. Thats fine then? And do you have any special techniques for measuring the wholes, or should i break out my measuring tape.

You might want to invest in one of the tapered unibits (I don't know if that is the proper name or not).

It is a stepped bit that will enlarge the hole from 1/8" to 1/4" to 3/8" etc. Really nice to have around.

Obviously first time Ive attempted to tackle this, but why would i need to enlarge the holes?

its just to drill the holes in the new bumper. since it starts with a small hole it's smoother and isnt as likely that the bumper will crack

ooooOOO now I understand. I do not think the bumper is likely to crack tho, as it is poly. But, you never know. With luck like mine, anything is possible. Also, when bolting the kit on, is it like a nut and bolt type of application? How will I get up and around it to apply a nut on the other side?
