Ok, I have read most of the threads but I still need help with my problem.
I have a ’98 Sunfire 2.4L with 77k miles on it. Here is my dilemma:
ONLY in the summer (this does not happen in the winter, even if I drive for 10 hrs straight) when I’m driving my car, all of a sudden the check engine light shows up and the car dies!!!! I have to pull over (w/o power steering!!) and start my car 3 x’s until the check engine light goes off and the car runs fine for about 3 minutes. Needless to say, I have to do this about 10 x’s in an hour. Short of having to quit :banghead: my job and go on public aide, I need to get this fixed and the “guys” at Pontiac are telling me it could be 1 of 300 different things. Well if I have to send 5K I might as well buy a new car, but at this point in time I can not afford it. Any help/suggestions will be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!!!

You'd probably have better luck posting your problem/question in the Sunfire forum.
