cleaning head lights

hey guys my headlights are really oxizid and i heard you can clean em by taking them out and put em in the oven and take em apart like dat
my friends did dat with his car and it turned out fine and everything.
i tried taking out my headlights for my car but i couldnt get it out. it was like there was one scew still holding it back
can someone tell me how many scews r there to take out hte head lights and anymore information on taking out the headlight from my car

You have to get a socket between your bumber and your lights. Or you can just cut it with a hack saw, thats what i did.

There's a pita bolt underneath the headlight housing. You'll need an extension and maybe a swivel. Edit>> The guys' links above are what I used.
Yeah, heating it in the oven is supposed to separate the pieces. I haven't ever done it, but guys have had success with that on tuners.

i used a heat gun to get it apart. and yea a long extention and a swivel and alot of patients. i cleaned mine with rubbing compound, its gritty and it took all the yellow off and made them look brand new

I also cleaned mine with rubbing compund as someone on this forum suggested to me(don't remember who). It worked amazing, made my light look brand new and much more bright. Try this method before taking out your headlights.

i just got new headlights, lol. yea that one screw between the bumper and headlight is a bitch, good luck.

if it's haze on the outside just use 3M machine glaze compound and buff the outsides with a buffer. i'm pretty sure it's just oxidizing on the outside but IF it is on the inside, then take them apart but try the buffing thing first.
