Spyder Rear Windows...

My rear spyder window jumped off the track tonight. I went to put it down (it was up before) it went about half way then stopped. So I pulled over and checked. The motor still runs and stops when the window should be fully up or down.. The window however is only moveable by my hand..

I searched around here for window problems and fixes.. but I only saw articles on the front windows.

Anyone ever have this problem? If so I assume I have to get at the bottom of the window to fix it. To do this do I have to remove the back seat or can I just take off that plastic panel by the window?

If I have to remove the back seat is there a simple way todo it on the spyder?

After having a look around with the top down I noticed that the rear windows are driven by a metal piece that simply snaps onto a ball attached to the glass by a clamp. The metal piece had popped off the one side.

It's a result of the stop for the window. Normally it's covered in a hose like covering to cushon the stop. But in this case the cushion came off so when stopping the window the snap on part actually was twisting a bit. When the top's up it's not a bad twist however when I put the windows up the top was down... Causing it to twist and pop off..

You are able to snap this part on without disassembling anything. Just look down the hole where the top sits. Put both windows up (even though one doesn't move on it's own and simply compare) You can see the part that pops off laying down a bit in the window. Spin it around and connect it back on and it's fixed.

Now for the cruise control button problem.. *sigh* it all will work someday.
