Today Almost all of Colorado got dumped on about a foot and a half of snow. So no school tommorrow!
Im excited. :grinno:
I took this pic out my back door at about 3pm today. Could hardly see anything. The pic doesnt do any justice to how nasty it was out. 45mph+ winds, plus it was hammering us with snow. Weve gotten another 5 or so inches since I took this pic, and they are predicting another 4-5 inches tonight.

These late season storms can be surprising. I remember back in high school in 1983 we had a snow day on April 30. This is unusual because we had not had a snow day the previous 5 years, as we usually get over 110 inches a year. Well this freak snowstorm caught everybody off guard and the only reason why the schools were closed was that nobody could get around good on the roads. All the plows had been removed from the municipal trucks the week before. The snow ended up melting the next day.

We got two inches in Laramie last night and then it didn't snow at all today. We were supposed to get nine inches of the white stuff. It didn't snow at all today.
Oh well, I heard that the university hasn't had a snow day since 1994. We have to have either 3 ft of snow or an unbelievably bad blizzard before they will cancel around here. Guess if you live in WY you are supposed to be able to survive the cold without complaints.

Snow days rock !!!
We get a few up here in Ontario, Canada. But not too many ... unless ... the police warn everyone to stay home and not drive. When that happens, then it's an official snow day for me. No work !!!
I was stupid enough this year to drive about 30kms into town to get groceries in the middle of a blizzard. I could not see the front of my car from the "white out" conditions and had lots of fun trying to drive home thru snow drifts!!
