1989 Cavalier Problems

:banghead: Alright guys I hope you can help me out. I just bought my 1989 Cavalier about oh, 6 months ago. Since then it has been almost undrivable. I have replaced the fuel pump and filter, thermostat, one of the two cooling sensors, and I still can't figure out what is wrong with it. It seems almost as if it is over-heating, or starving for gas. Sometimes it starts and sometimes it doesn't. Everytime it starts to die, about an hour after it is started, a little relay in front of the drivers seat and under the hood starts to click on and off. I was working on it the other day and the heating core blew out too. I suppose this is a overheating problem, which from these forums I can tell it is a common problem. If anyone can help please post. By the way it is a 4cyl. 2.0L. Thanks a bunch. :screwy:

don't know if it is the same thing, but my honda did the same thing and it was because my thermostat wasn't grounded.

Cooling fan come on? Perhaps the relay is shot. It'll run ya about $12.
As for the no-start. What is it doing?
