electric window problems

My 94 Grand Prix SE has had a slow moving driver window for months. Then one day last week it went down and wouldn't go up. Naturally I suspected the motor. I took it to a hole-in-the-wall place that has done OK work at a good price for me in the past. They said they installed a new motor, got the driver window to work, but now the passenger doesn't, and that the switches must be bad, but they got another from a junkyard and it worked the same, and new one is $100+. I said well, ok, I can live with the passenger side not working. When I picked it up, they said maybe a circuit baord is bad and "they're tricky", and it was clear they were in over their heads. I know the other 3 windows and switches worked when I took it in, but now the driver's window goes down with the correct switch but only goes up using the switch on the driver's door for the passenger window! The passenger window doesn't work at all even using the switch on the passenger door. The right rear window works fine. The left rear doesn't work at all (from the driver door switch or it's own switch). To top it off, the instrument panel lights are out now too, and I didn't find any bad fuses! So I took it in with 1 window not working, and get it back with that one working weirdly, and 2 others not working, and no panel lights. I'm afraid to take it back worried what else they might screw up.
Does anybody have any clues to what they heck they did, and how to fix it??

I would take it to a reputable shop known for good electrical work. It doesn;t sound too serious. The problem is most likely at the master switch on the drivers window, since that is where they did most of the work. They may have gotten frustrated trying to take the door panel off, cut the wiring to the master window switch to make it easier, and hooked it up wrong when it was reinstalled or just had no idea whatsoever on how to connect the new motor and botched the wiring up for all the other windows in the process of trying to figure it out. If it was something they did, make sure to send them the bill for getting it repaired properly.

Well I left out the part where I took the door panel off cuz I was gonna put the motor in myself, but it looked too complicated once I got that far. But with the panel off and the switch panel removed, the other 3 windows still worked b4 I took it in, so it was something they did, but not cutting/splicing wires. That's why I'm so confused about the whole thing. And if it's the master switch, why doesn't the passenger door switch operate the passenger window?
