cruise control not turning on

I have a 2002 lasabre .The cruise lith will light but will not activate and stay on can anyone help?

Replace the cruise control switch in the steering wheel. My 02 did the same thing. I think that the switch was less than $20 at my Buick dealer. Just take a small screwdriver and pry the old one out,disconnect the wire harness, connect the wire to the new one and pop it back in. I did mine in the parking lot of the dealer and it took less than 2 minutes.

i have the same problem......gonna try that switch thing and see what happens.
