fried something?

ok when me and my mechanic friends started installing my new turbo, he was taking off the manifold heat sheild i think, and he touched something with his screwdriver that made sparks fly evrywhere, he said no biggy and kept working. he did it again and this time sparks flew out of the battery also ??? so i took the negative cable off for the rest of the install. so we finished installing it and now my power windows dont work, radio doesnt work and my locks dont work. i checked all the fuses and not a single one of the bastards is blown, wtf? and the weird thing is for some reason when the cars been running for awhile, all the sudden, my radio windows and locks start working again, but when i turn the car back off and on, they dont work again. any ideas?

well replace the fuses anyway. if all them spark flew I would just to be safe. and the battery is probably almost dead if right away all the power stuff dosent work and after awhile all of it starts working which is probably the alternator charging the battery enough to use the power stuff again.

yea thats what i thought but after getting a new battery, then getting my alternator tested and putting a new one in, i found out that my alternator choke fuse (???) was blown and that fixed the problem. so about 2hrs of work for no reason. oh well got a new alternator and battery now. (warrenty)

what the hell is a alternator choke fuse.
