ecu reset?

ok i had my battery out of my tsi awd and i know that the computer will reset and you will hit fuel cut, but how long does this last? because its been like 2 days and its still doing it????? as for my tach not working, i put a diffrent gauge cluster in that i know the tach worked and it still didnt work?

k, figured the problem out.. running like crap and the tach. i guess when i drilled my firewall to run my power wire i hit some wires, fixed those and the car runs fine and the tach works!!
