AC Help

I have just added 2 cans (12oz. of 134A and 2oz oil each) of quick cool to my AC system. The air is very cold from the vents but the Comp. clutch does not stay engaged very long before it turns off and then back on. Am I still low on Refrigerant or is this the sign of something bigger.

UPDATE, I have driven it around with the air on high. Popped the hood and the compressor is runing full time. Now to check the level or pressure. the Auto parts store sold me a guage (Like a Tire guage) but I can't seem to get it to work, Is there a better way to check the level.

You mean you added two cans without even checking the amount of pressure initially?

Common bro, you could have overcharged your system now and it could be potentially destroying itself.

Make sure the gauge is for your AC system.

Read the instruction on the package.

Blazer LT,
I went out in a panic and picked up the trigger type guage/ dispenser and checked it out hoping I did not overfill. It is at 30lbs. The guage says this is within the range. Glad I didn't _ up. Thanks for all your help.

Yea, the gauge should have a colored range for the safe zone.

Did you check the level with the gauge with the max AC on and the fan to full speed?

Yes, it was on Max. and running the fan on its highest setting. Thanks.
