Per C&C's, I did the treads a bit darker... I see what Speedthrill meant. Working solely in Illustrator is tough... One day, Illustrator will have an airbrusk (like PS)... heck, they're both Adobe.
Also, I lost a few C&C's when I accidently edited this thread.. I'd appreciate a repost so I can gain from them. thx, robo

It looks really good. The tire treads looks spot on. The only crit is the rear wheel, which to my eye looks like its leaning in a bit. I may be wrong, but something doesn't look quite right. Great job elsewhere though!

wow!!!
Amazing car choice!!!
You have chosen the ultimate vehicle!
I'M BUMPING YOU BECAUSE OF YOUR PHENOMENAL CHOICE!
now,
Great job on this...I hadn't seen t before, but I really like it.
I know what you were going for on the rear wheel. Many times when lowered VWs get that negative? chamber. (I always get pos and neg confused). The hard black area on that tire may be what is throwing it off a bit.
Very true statement about rendering all in Illy. It is much tougher, but you do a real good job with it.
I'm actually doing a 63 rag for a design I'm working on right now. I might post it later.
Great job on the Porshe caps.

oh! a shodow from the wheel well on the front tire will drop t under nicely.

Leemorris, Ross et al: thanks. I thought you might enjoy the choice... my first new car was a 70 VW... tricked out to the max..... $2000!!! Boy have things gone up. You're right.. I think the grey inner ellipse throws the rear wheel off a tad because it alters the black outer ellipse. Thanks for the CC... as always, I do appreciate most C&C's and try to use them on future drawings... plus, always experimenting, trying to harness the powere of the computer. Robo

Nice rendering Robo. Your chrome is getting much better. Just remember to add some sky reflection on the bottom inner lip part of the rim.
