12.6 @ 117mph
its safe to say i had major traction issues. the rear tires are kumho 711 245/50/16 and were inflated to 20psi. launching was done at 4k by easing out the clutch and pretty much just waiting for the wheelspin. i had to take almost 2psi of gain out of the profec b in order to get some kind of traction in 1st and 2nd. the best 60' of the night was a 2.0, but this run was a 2.1. i made 9 runs tonight and this was run 7. im surprised i got that well of a 60' on that run because i shortshifted 1st at 6k and 2nd hooked up with not too much wheelspin, a majority of the runs i would just spin the car completely through 2nd. car was at full weight (91 se hatch) with a 1/2 tank of gas. the hard sprung d2 coilovers (9/7 spring rates) were full soft at time of runs. 18 psi of boost at all runs. i have a 180sx vlsd.
also considering dragway 42 is known as a pretty crappy mom&pop track i don't think it was too bad. usually this track differs from norwalk (great track) by a solid .2-.3 seconds, but you cant beat the number of runs you can get in.
the 60' has a lot of room for improvement, namely slicks. im thinking if i could cut a 1.6 or 1.7 it would be a nice 11. what was great though is that i was the fastest et and trapping car there that wasn't a pure drag car on slicks  the closest car that came to me was a modified cobra running 12.6's at 110mph. i think with some slicks, water intercooler spray and race fuel it would be deep into 11's. with the same boost and setup i was running i put down a little more than 330whp. the 370whp was done at 20psi with water spray on the dyno.

I still have that vid of your car. Mid 12's is hella impressive! Congrats. What is actually your best time over all? Or is this your best time to date? Sweet run, and I took the time to look over your car, and I love the whole look of it. Black, lowered with black wheels and a silver lip. That's the exact look I'd like my Civic to have. Once again, congrats on your run. L8...

Very Very nice. Definantly get those 60' down and you will have a solid 11 second car on your hands, it must be a beast on the highway.

Ahh yes, good ole West Salem Ohio. Did some head modifications on the Stang over the winter that year and was really chomping at the bit to run it down a track and had been shut down for 3 weeks straight because of rain so I made the trek to 42 and got about 6 runs in before rain came, people were nice and all but I have never been back to that track. Did get a good idea on the results of the head work done as the car dropped from 12.65 to 12.08, the next weekend at Thompson I coaxed an 11.98 out of it.

Good run. I don't understand how you could expect a better 60' time on street tires. Buy some dr's and see what she will do.

I would think the guy next to you was just testing his 0-60, correct? He definitely just laid it down after that

I think he can definitely get a better 60'. I was pulling 2.1 60's on street tires last friday night when I went to the track... and I'm FWD.
*edit: Sweet time man.. work on the launch and you can probably squeeze out a couple more tenths.

You definitely need more traction! :)
Nice run.

FWD is not the curse everyone makes it out to be. First time ever on slicks with stock suspension I ran 1.7-1.8s everytime in a 3350lb+FWD.

yes i was losing a lot of traction. as someone else pointed out to me before, its not so much the launch as it is going into 2nd gear. you really don't have much power at 4k in 1st gear, but when you are at 7.5k in 1st and go to 2nd, there is massive slippage through the whole gear. that's why i had to shortshift 1st at like 6k in order for it to not spin through 2nd. the good thing is that only happens at the track, i get much better traction on the street for some reason.
the car i was racing against was another 240 stock ka.... hahahaa. i think he missed a gear.
the car is very good on the highway (modest ;) ). my friend just got his 240 running last night with exactly the same setup after an engine build (slightly larger trim turbo) and he took some vids of pulls i did on the highway, they should be pretty enjoyable. ill try to get it up later today if i can get it from him. thanks for the comments guys, i put a shitload of work into this car to get it where i want it, and its safe to say im just about done with the engine with the exception of a water or cryogenic system. i love the car :)

Nice job! Definitely get some slicks. I trap 116 and ran 11.87 with a 1.75 60'. Gonna see if I can't get that into the 1.6's.
