Transmission Filter located??

I bought the transmission filter for my 2001 Diamante. The filter looked like an engine oil filter. I looked for an external filter for the tranny, but couldn't find it. Is it inside the tranny?? Can anyone help me..

Look on the top of the transmission on the driver's side of the engine. You should see it there.
