Open Door Chime Removal

I have an '01 1500 and I really would like to get rid of the open door chime. Has anybody done this? If you have can you tell me where it is, and if I can just pull it out. Would appreciate any help.

if its in the same place as the 04, its in the drivers side fuse box. its on the same plug as the speakers. mark the two wire locations for the small black box for the buzzer then remove the pins. if you sell the truck you can put it back.

the same buzzer is used by the woning system for every thing.
